Happy New Year!

A new blog for 2009. Not that I won't still blog at Scraps, but this is the "No Whining, No Worrying Zone". I need a place to leave that stuff outside the door, and put on my most ridiculous pair of pink goggles. And lest you think I'm going to give up whining and worrying, well that, as Mary Poppins says, is a "pie crust promise". (Easily made, easily broken.)

May we all have a wonderfully rose colored year ahead, and I supposed we had better enjoy it since we only have about three of them left, since the world is apparently ending in 2012... according to the History Channel. HA! I'M JOKING! But seriously, what would you do if it was true? Would you spend it fretting and complaining? Or would you focus on the best parts of each day, and count every blessing?

  1. We have designated our home as a "Bummer Free Zone" for the holiday season. Whichs means no more "Bad News with BJ" reports on a daily basis......no discussion about the recent earthquake activity 30 miles to the west, and again 30 miles to the east of us, or the activity at the Super Volcano of Yellowstone, or..........it is SO HARD for me to withhold comments on 12/21/2012 which you hung out there......not that I am concerned with that (actually rather fascinated by the scientific aspects of the alignment of the sun, etc), but have you heard about the new "Global Tax" which has been quietly introduced by Sen. Obama? And the direct correlation with the revelation from Luke 2, whereby when Jesus was born, there was a global tax? (See KJV for "worldwide tax"....) Now that leads to a whole other line of thought....Okay okay, bummer free zone..........!!!!!!!!!

Totally agree about the joy and energy. Saw the chiro the other day which really helped restore some energy. And have been getting my behind (we decided we needed to stop saying "butt". It has been getting overuse...) whupped by Chickie at Scrabble, who is impatiently toe tapping, just like her father, for me to join them in a rematch. Bummer Free Zone!!!! Later, dudette.
